Nestled under the canopy of native trees and on the bank of the Kangaroo River is Scribbles
Cottage. Tucked away on a quiet street approximately 400m from Kangaroo Valley village,
Scribbles Cottage offers a true sense of isolation and tranquillity. The self contained cottage
provides perfect accommodation for couples, families, two families or a group of friends.
The space
Scribbles Cottage is a private and quiet space to host seven people comfortably. Boasting four
bedrooms, open plan living room, media room, two bathrooms, a large spa bath with a view,
two outdoor dining areas, detached studio and fully enclosed and fenced garden areas. It’s the
ideal spot to gather your loved ones for some quality rest and relaxation.
Air conditioning and ceiling fans allows year-round comfort whilst in the cooler months you
can enjoy the slow combustion fireplace overlooking Kangaroo River. Firewood may be
purchased at the petrol station in the village. We have two oil heaters should you need
additional warmth in the cooler months.
The contemporary kitchen has been designed with entertaining in mind and is setup to
prepare all kinds of meals and baking. It is fully equipped with state of the art appliances and
fittings including dishwasher, large oven, large fridge and creature comforts. It makes it easy
to enjoy a home cooked meal and wine overlooking the picturesque view. Feel free to pick
herbs from the garden and pick citrus fruits from our established trees.
The outside spaces of Scribbles Cottage have various areas where you can either sit and enjoy
the view or have your meals while watching the scenery change as the day turns from
morning to evening.
For relaxed al fresco meals, the deck overlooks the rivers providing a picture perfect
backdrop for your outdoor entertaining. Alternatively, a large, covered verandah at the front
enjoys a serene garden setting with established trees and native plants that attract a vast array
of birdlife.
In the evening, sit by the firepit overlooking the river. On a clear night, the evening sky at
Scribbles Cottage is truly beautiful to see, it never disappoints and always guarantees a
spectacular blanket of stars to enjoy.
Relax and unwind in front of the wood fire playing a game or simply read
book. In the media room, you will find a state of the art 75 inch TV where you can browse
Netflix for the latest film releases. Use the popcorn machine for the real cinema experience.
Entertain the kids or yourself with a selection of board games, puzzles and books.
If you are a remote worker and need to work whilst visiting, we have fast reliable wifi.. The
cottage has easy access to coffee shops, the general store and cafes for your lunch break or
after work.
The riverside location of Scribbles Cottage offers year round appeal with plenty of options
for outdoor activities: swimming, kayaking, mountain biking, or just relaxing on the sandy
banks of the river. If you intend swimming in Kangaroo River or local pool, kindly bring your
own beach towels.
The historic village of Kangaroo Valley is home to an array of fabulous and interesting shops
that adorn the main road. Filled with quality vintage and contemporary goodies – take a stroll
down through the village and check out the antique shops, art galleries, gourmet local
produce and restaurants.

We stayed at Ben's place for two nights and felt completely relaxed by the end of the weekend. The view from the lounge is breathtaking. The kitchen is fit for chefs. And the counches, tables, and bedrooms are perfect for a large group. The town is about a 15 minutes walk from the house, making for a lovely outing to the pub or cafe. We did both! The TV room was perfect for watching AFL. And the fire place made the house cozy in the evenings. We loved the place and would certainly return on our next visit.
What a beautiful home! The photos do not do it justice. The view, the deck, the River were amazing. Perfect walking distance to town. Will be back for sure! Thank you Ben!
