Budgong Lodge was built by the present owners who bought the property and lived in the original old cottage that was located on the acreage. They decided that they wanted to share this beautiful spot with others and Budgong Lodge was born! Beautifully built by local craftsmen, this home has 4 good sized bedrooms, plus a huge open plan kitchen and living area - perfect for socialising.

Where will I be?
Budgong Lodge may be removed from the hustle and bustle of city life but is still only 10 minutes from the centre of Kangaroo Valley, or 40 minutes to the Southern Highlands or the coast (Gerringong, Gerroa or Shoalhaven Heads).
Why choose Budgong Lodge?
The Lodge is positioned at the base of Mount Scanzi escarpment in the middle of the 180 acre property with views of the surrounding bushland and Morton National Park. Simply enjoy the space or sit on the expansive deck and watch the wildlife, including kangaroos and wallabies.
How is the property laid out?
Budgong Lodge has a large open plan kitchen, living and dining area. The living area has plenty of comfortable seating on the sofas, as well as the open fireplace. The large kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals during your stay, including an oven, cooktop, Nespresso coffee machine, microwave, toaster and kettle.
There are 4 bedrooms, each with a queen bed and all open onto the spacious deck. There are 2 bathrooms, one with a shower and toilet and the other with a bath, shower and toilet.
WiFi, Internet, Netflix, or Pay TV - will I have it?
Complimentary WiFi is available and a password will be provided in your pre-arrival email.
Please note that neither The Holidays Collection nor the owner can guarantee 100% that WiFi will work, and no compensation will be payable if problematic. If WiFi is important, please therefore always have a back up plan.
What about outdoors?
Budgong Lodge is in the middle of a 180 acre property, at the base of the Mount Scanzi escarpment. The property is a working cattle farm. The expansive deck is perfect for sitting back and watching the wildlife, including kangaroos and wallabies. Grassed areas surround the house.
Staying warm or keeping cool?
There is air conditioning and a ceiling fan in the living area, as well as a fireplace for winter. The bedrooms all have ceiling fans.
What about sheets, towels and other supplies?
Budgong Lodge supplies all bed linen, sheets, and towels.
Parking for cars, etc?
Budgong Lodge has open air parking for 2 cars.
Is my dog or cat also welcome to stay?

Wildlife
Please note that due to the nature and location of this property, wildlife may be about including possums, kangaroos, ants, spiders, bees, wasps and even snakes. We do whatever we can to keep the property safe, however we cannot guarantee that you will not see any wildlife at the property. You must book the property knowing that the possibility of encountering wildlife exists, and you must take care during your visit if walking around the property - please.
What are the minimum stay rules?
- Peak Season: Between 2 and 7 nights, depending on the property
- Easter: 4 nights
- Long Weekends: 3 nights
- All other times: 2 nights
Are there any special Peak Season rules?
Please note that during Peak Season, our properties may have designated changeover days so as to make the cleaning rosters manageable. We also do not schedule arrivals on the Christmas, Boxing, and New Years Day public holidays.
